i have been sitting here for nearly ten minutes now, sifting through my iTunes library to find the right song. whatever bit of music i'd been searching for would kick my skin into scales and i'd feel something to write down. i'd swim in something that i could keep forever.

i am dry.

I feel for you, man. I've been on a powerstreak for nearly a year and the engineer just reported up from the poedrive room, saying that it canna be as bad as it look, sarr - but he was on fire and had a wild look to him. Still maintaining ftl but there are burning smells.

I like your work, man. I hate most modern poetry - it seems to be a mass of highly referential trash (with exceptions - listen to NourbeSe read her Cyclamen Girl here . She made me want to redo all my AV readings (they were an experiment - threw myself off the dock to learn to swim - I stand by them, though, I didn't make a wreckage of it entirely, and plan to redo when I got the strength/time/desire/am not listening to Judas Priest and tripping out on my new pills (Level Pink-500! Activate!).

Rock on, man. I still remember your one where you got out the bottle and dug for your brother (or at least that's how the file got labelled in my colander-head). Don't get out the bottle - don't even dig. Ask for poems, ye shall receive.

And if not - well, hell. There's video games.

  2. "San Jacinto" by Gabriel. "30 Seconds Over Tokyo" by Pere Ubu. "Glimmer" by Lori Carson.

Old man's music for the most part. I am not of a piece with a lot of the stuff that drives young minds, although I was a fan of Nick Drake when he was STILL ALIVE... a fan of Tim Buckley's when Jeff was in diapers. Old man's music still has some potency. "I'll hold the LINE..."
